At the beginning of October my parents brought home this cutie- Miss Emma Lee. She was 15 pounds of fluff and love.
It had been on a trip to the Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut that we first learned about the Newfoundland breed. For those unaware of the breed, Newfoundlands are considered working dogs. They grow to be between 100 and 150 pounds. Historically, Newfoundlands have been used on ships to help pull ropes ashore and perform water rescues.
Emmie will be the second Newfie that my family has loved. She is a pip of a puppy. She loves her squeaky donut, her Conseula cactus, and chasing dad around.
